Dutch Government To Help Save Open Source Projects

 

istock000068887977mediumLast week, the Dutch government voted to donate half a million euros to the OpenSSL, PolarSSL and LibreSSL open-source projects. These projects give coding tools to web developers to implement standard encryption protocols into their websites: TLS and SSL. That means better security. The code is constantly evolving and principally relies on volunteers, who appreciate when any money is thrown their way.
