Dennis Gabor, electrical engineer, Nobel Prize Winner in Physics, created the concept of holography and founded the theory of granular synthesis and holography. Happy 110th birthday, as brought to the attention of the world by the Google folks.
Leave a CommentThe Sonic Wire Sculptor (SWS) was created by the Brooklyn artist Amit Pitaru and was a means to connect music, what we hear, to form, what we can create in 3-D space. There is now an iPhone application.
This system has enabled a whole host of so-called sonic sculptors to take their art to another level since 2003. This is beyond me at this point, but it’s still interesting.
